Wellbeing:
As well as giving our employees competitive benefits, we strive to maintain a caring culture. Wellbeing is extremely important to us and we endeavour to ensure that our employees are happy, healthy and energised to allow them to be
successful.
As well as our Employee Assistance Programme, we have trained Mental Health Officers and throughout the year we organise wellbeing ‘lunch and learn’ seminars and provide treats to our staff. During Mental Health Awareness week, we encouraged our employees to stay fit and healthy and to minimise stress. In previous years we have organised staff massages, juice walks and yoga classes to participate in.
Charity of the Year:
UTB is very proud to have a Charity of the Year scheme. This scheme encourages the Bank’s employees to nominate and vote for a Charity close to their hearts and the Bank supports the winning charity for the year. UTB has organised
a number of charity events over the years including fun runs, a ‘Round the World’ bake off, and numerous sponsored events. By raising money together, we strengthen our team spirit, give back to our community and work towards a
common goal. We also offer our staff a number of Personal Days each year which can be set aside for personal charity and volunteer work.
Mark Heaphy, Head of Compliance
‘UTB offers a lot to its employees, from training and qualification opportunities to making sure you are fit and healthy. This includes offering Private Medical Cover for when you’re not. UTB care about their staff and you can really see that by looking at the variety of employee benefits offered within the remuneration package. It is also great to know that the company is always open to exploring new ways to improve staff wellbeing.’
